Aya agrees, and as the mansion begins to burn Robin kisses Aya on the forehead and says "Goodbye Aya. Robin continues to explain he must now set fire to the mansion to get rid of any traces of her father to prevent what happened repeating itself, and asks Aya to remember everyone that died there and sacrifices made since their existence would be forgotten. He tells Aya to not be sad, because her mother is watching over her and if she is sad, so will her mother be. Later in the story, before Aya and Maria are preparing to leave, Robin says Aya has no need to thank him and reveals it was her mother who had sent him to make sure she wasn't hurt and says he had no intention to be injured or to have scared her earlier. Robin saves them by killing the father personally just in the nick of time. After Maria fails to kill Aya's father by throwing knives at him multiple times before he can kill Aya, the mad father gets up and tries to end them both. He is not seen again until one of the endings. After that, Maria appears and throws knives at him. After she wakes up, he tries to convince her to escape from the mansion, which she refuses. Later on, after she was almost choked by a subject, Aya faints and Robin takes her out of the room. His intentions seem to be good when she first meets him offering to help her by showing her the way, but Aya is shocked when she realizes half his face has been horribly burned and runs away, terrified. Still worth watching though, and I should give them credit for adding more of an element of mystery which seems to have been lost up until episode 6 at least.Robin, also known as the "Blonde Boy" (金髪の少年 Kinpatsu no Shonen), is a seemingly undead boy that Aya encounters in the mansion. If there's a season 2 (and I suspect there will be) if they're able to turn pump the gore and effects to match other current shows such as The Boys, Brand New Cherry Flavour, and some of the classics that I previously mentioned, they should be able to add that extra Umph, really shock the audiences, then we will have a timeless classic. Quickly become repetitious, but it also causes things to get rather predictable. Here you do have a lot more dramatic tension and better acting but the effects and demise of characters is blatantly unimaginative. The acting is superb, casting is spot on and the story is healthy, but man oh man did they ever miss an opportunity with the death scenes! Time and time again you'll see the same 3 things play out while expecting something more to give you that same shock and awe that you got the first time you watched Cube or maybe one of the Saw movies. What we have here with Alice In Borderland is a fresh take on the classic survival scheme at the hands of a mysterious and largely unknown force. Right away, you'll get that nice feeling of familiarity because you've probably watched the likes of Saw, Battle Royal, Cube or maybe you've just finished watching Squid games and are now open to the idea of fighting through subtitles and horrible dubs in search of older but watchable material from foreign entities. if you play the game in the second round you find out that Aya killed animal herself and you find letters which say that the mother noticed that Aya is like her father.(that she likes to kill) I dont like the ending either, but in the second round it gets a bit clearer why she does the things her father did and you get to know that Aya would have had the same future anyways, because she was going insane like her father.
AYA MAD FATHER SERIES
There's no question that this is a very good series for fans of this genre but it also unquestionably falls short in some key areas that prevent it from being a 8.5+.
